The full text of IPRA president’s message reads as follows:

Being the president of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), I would like to congratulate Iran on holding of the 12th International Conference on Public Relations (ICPR) with the enthralling topic of public relations vis-à-vis future research.

Public relations play a major role in all aspects of personal, individual, social and organizational relations as well as that the issue marks a respectable and invaluable profession.

In the current year, we have all been deeply affected by a series of tragic events in various countries and sought an appropriate response. The most proper reaction might be found in our main responsibility which is communicating the truth. Suitable communication, as a good method to clear up ambiguities in erroneous information, is established in such a way that leads to provision of reliable feedback.

In the face of violence, communicators need to be patient, responsible and above all, honest. Truth sets us free as well as that it brings about hopefulness and confidence. Social responsibility marks the cornerstone of sincere public relations leading to reputation and stature of an organization. The society is in dire need of public relations based upon dialogue and tolerance.

IPRA is proud to once again collaborate with Iran’s ICPR. I deeply feel obliged to offer my best wishes to Mr. Mehdi Bagherian, President of the Association of Public Relations Experts (APRE) as well as to every single individual involved in the momentous event.
