Iranian Public Relations News Network(shara) Kazem Motamednejad, founder of communications in Iran and a pioneer of public relations in the country, died on December 5 in Tehran. He was 79.

 

Born in the northeastern city of Birjand, Motamednejad got his BA in law from University of Tehran in 1957.

 

Then he got a scholarship to study in France. He finished his PhD in political science from Paris University and a separate PhD in journalism from Institute of Press and News Science.

 

 He also got a certificate for teaching journalism from Strasbourg University.

 

He returned to Iran and he was news editor for international news in Kayhan newspaper for four years up to 1961. He was also associate professor at the Department of Law and Political Science at University of Tehran, dean of Department of Social Sciences at Allameh Tabatabaei University.

 

Motamednejad also taught at universities in France and managed a research project at Paris University.

 

He was a lawyer and legal advisor to the International Union of Telecommunications.

 

Motamednejad was also a founding member of Institute of Journalism at the Faculty of Social Communications at Allameh Tabataei University.

He was selected as exemplary professor in 1995.

 

He kept teaching at Allameh Tabatabei University until he got retired.

 

He has authored books and tens of articles.
